Uses:
May
be used during pregnancy to strengthen and tone the longitudinal muscle
of the uterus. May assist and speed up contractions during labor. May
help shorten labor, ease labor pains, and help provide for babies to not
be born prematurely or after their due date. May be useful in the
treatment of period pains. May be used for diarrhea, leucorrhea, and
other loose conditions.
Directions to use:
Infusion: Pour 1 cup of boiling water onto 2 teaspoons of herb. Let infuse for 10 – 15min. Drink three times a day.
Safety precautions:
Safe
to use if pregnant or lactating. Never use raspberry leaves in early pregnancy because it is
also a uterine stimulant and may cause premature labor. It may cause
nausea and mild loosening of stools.
