Uses:
Marshmallow
is mainly used for the lungs and the urinary system. For bronchitis,
respiratory catarrh, and irritating coughs. For urethritis and urinary
gravel.
Roots: digestive system Leaves: Urinary system and lungs.
Marshmallow is also used for acute
respiratory disease, gastroenteritis, peptic ulcer, cystitis,
urethritis, inflammation of the mouth and throat, inflamed hemorrhoids,
and wounds, burns and scalds, bedsores, abscesses, boils, and skin
ulcers.
Directions to use:
Cold infusion: Root: 2g - 4g, steep overnight. Drink three times per day.
Safety precautions:
Do not use if pregnant or lactating. May delay the absorption of other drugs taken at the same time.
