Bladderwrack Benefits and Uses:
Internal:
Bladderwrack stimulates the thyroid gland. Also helps with obesity and
cellulite. Relieves rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis. As a mineral
supplement. Restores depleted minerals. Can be taken as a nutritional
supplement. Because of its high iodine content, bladderwrack is a
valuable addition to anybody who is on a salt-free diet. Contributes to
lowering cholesterol and glucose (blood sugar) levels. Wards off
bacteria and viruses and to speed up wound healing. Contains dietary
fibre that will aid in constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, and
indigestion. Other uses of bladderwrack include boosting the immune system and increasing energy.
External: Apply to affected areas for rheumatism, inflamed joints.
Directions to use:
Infusion: Pour a cup of boiling water over 2 - 3 teaspoons of kelp, steep for 10min. Drink three times per day.
